Since 1992, Elias-Cartwright Inc. has been transforming walls, furniture, and interiors into works of art. Based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, our studio specializes in decorative painting — from richly layered faux finishes and faux marble to hand-painted murals, decorative plasters, faux bois, and custom handmade wallpapers.

Founded by Ana Elias, the studio draws on decades of training in both European and American traditions of decorative painting, blending time-honored techniques with a contemporary eye. Every project is approached as original fine art: surfaces are studied, layered, and finished by hand, so no two rooms — and no two clients — receive the same result.

We work closely with homeowners, designers, and architects on residential and commercial projects alike, translating a space's character into finish and color. Whether it's a single accent wall, a full mural, or a suite of custom furniture, our aim is the same: craftsmanship that feels timeless, and detail that rewards a second look.
